The camera belongs to the Dahua Lite AI series with an Artificial Intelligence chip for support for intelligent functions such as perimeter security and Smart Motion Detection Plus (SMD Plus). SMD ensures reliable motion detection by filtering objects. False alarms caused by pets, leaves, light and other disturbing objects are thus minimized. The advanced Al also supports fast searching from recorded video as it is able to extract and classify people and vehicles from large amounts of video data.

Possibilities

The Dahua IPC-HDW3541EM-S-S2-B displays images in a Full HD 2960×1668 resolution. The camera has a motorized fixed lens of 2.8 MM and thus displays images in a horizontal viewing angle of 97 degrees. The camera has Dahua Starlight Technology, making it ideal for applications with challenging lighting conditions. Thanks to the highly light-sensitive image sensor, the camera still delivers a usable color image with a minimum of ambient light, even in almost complete darkness (0.005 lux).

The camera has a built-in automatic day/night IR cut filter and can also switch on the built-in IR lighting in dark conditions, providing a razor-sharp image even in complete darkness (0 Lux). The IR lighting has a very large range of no less than 50 meters. The camera has 120dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which allows the camera to handle complex lighting conditions very well, such as backlight from the sun or car headlights.

Images can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR), among other things. The camera also has the option to record in the camera on a microSD memory card up to a maximum of 256Gb (not included). The camera has a built-in microphone.

Dahua has a free Dutch app available for Apple iOS and Android. The camera has an internal web server that can be viewed and managed using a web browser. Video Management Software (VMS) for a computer can be downloaded for free from the Dahua website. The 'Documentation' tab includes a link to the manufacturer's product page.

The Dahua IPC-HDW3541TP-ZAS has an IP67 rating, making the camera ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation, the camera can be powered via the network cable with Power over Ethernet (standard 802.3af P0E). PoE can be obtained through a PoE NVR, a PoE switch or with a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter. Under the options tab you can indicate whether an adapter and/or Dahua mounting bracket should be included. The camera is adjustable over 3 axes and therefore very suitable for placing vertically against a wall.
