Description

The Safire UTP6-300-OUTDOOR is a Cat6 cable on a roll of 305 meters and equipped with rigid copper conductors and is suitable for outdoor use. The cable is black in color and has a length of approximately 305 meters and is supplied in a handy dispenser box.

Characteristics

The network cable has high-quality copper conductors for maximum quality, durability and reliability. The network cable is equipped with 24AWG high-quality copper wire and is therefore very capable of supplying the required power when using Power over Ethernet.

This StarTech network cable is not shielded by foil (UTP: Unshielded Twisted Pair). Shielded cable (such as FTP and STP) is only recommended in situations where a lot of electromagnetic interference, such as from heavy industrial electric motors, is expected. Strongly improved electrical products have made the use of more expensive shielded cable unnecessary in almost every other environment and shielded network cable can even have a detrimental effect in incorrectly constructed network installations.
