Description

The Safire SF-SW1008POE-96 is a switch with 8 x RJ45 ports, all of which support 802.3at/af Power over Ethernet (PoE) and has 2 uplink ports. The switch has a high total power of 96 Watts and a unique built-in data and POE extender up to 250 meters. The switch supports VLAN port separation and is ideal for use with IP cameras for power and signal over the network cable, even over greater distances than the standard IP network protocol.

Possibilities

Network equipment such as IP cameras, access points, VOIP telephones and IR lamps that comply with the 802.3af or 802.3at PoE standard can be connected to 1 of the 8 PoE ports. By using the PoE functionality, for example, an IP camera can be connected to the network with only 1 Cat5e or Cat6 network cable and supplied with the correct power. The switch has 2 uplink ports to the LAN network. The Safire SF-SW1008POE-96 is a silent switch because it has no built-in fan. This makes the switch particularly suitable for installation in living and office spaces.

The switch has a very large total power of 96 Watts with a maximum of 30 Watts on one port.

The switch has switchable VLAN port separation, which prevents interference and increases network security. With the Extend mode enabled it is possible to send POE and signal over a greater distance than the standard maximum of 100 meters in IP networks. The maximum extension is 250 meters at 10 Mbps.

Installation

The switch is unmanaged and therefore Plug&Play. The switch is supplied with a 53VDC2.5A power supply.
