Hikvision Y-Generation intercom
The Y-generation IP video intercom system from Hikvision is a stylish and flexible doorbell system for both a private house with 1 bell and apartment buildings with 500 indoor monitors. The Y-Generation is the successor to the well-known Hikvision 2nd Generation intercom. New software options and successors to the products from this line are reflected in the Hikvision Y-Generation intercom. The products from the Hikvision Y generation are compatible with each other and can be easily combined. With the Hikvision 2nd Generation intercom this was only possible via a connection to the IP network.
The doorbell system consists of one or more indoor monitors and an outdoor camera module with a push button that can possibly be supplemented with a keypad module, a card reading module, an indication module and/or a 6-button apartment module. Images from IP cameras in the same network can be viewed on the indoor monitor.
Naturally, a free mobile app is available for making calls, operating a door or gate and viewing the camera image live. The camera has a 2 megapixel fisheye lens with a 146 degree viewing angle. The images from the camera can also be recorded on a Network Video Recorder (NVR).
The outdoor station can be built-in or surface-mounted. The camera module in the outdoor station can be powered with standard PoE over a network cable. All modules are powered by the camera module. The indoor monitor can also be powered by PoE through the network cable.
The intercom system supports the universal SIP telephony protocol.
