De Dahua TPC-DF1241-B3F4-DW-S2 geeft beelden weer in een 4MP Full HD 2336×1752 (optische) en 256×192 (thermische) resolutie. De camera heeft een ingebouwd automatisch dag/nacht IR, smart IR verlichting voor nachtzicht tot 30 meter en Digital Wide Dynamic Range. De camera heeft vaste lenzen. Door de dubbele lens biedt de camera een slimme en zeer betrouwbare bewegingsdetectie. De bewegingsdetectie werkt door de thermische lens ook goed in slecht of geen zicht omstandigheden zoals bij rook, mist en fel tegenlicht van bijvoorbeeld auto koplampen.

De thermische lens geeft de camera voorst de mogelijkheid van temperatuurmeting waardoor vroegtijdige brand en over-verhittingdetectie mogelijk is. De camera beschikt ook over Tripwire en Intrusion detectie. De camera kan ook worden ingesteld voor detectie van het roken van sigaretten of sigaren of telefoneren. Het beeld van de thermische en optische lens kan met image fusion over elkaar worden gelegd waardoor een zeer gedetailleerd beeld ontstaat.
