The Dahua IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S4 is an 8 megapixel Full-color Ultra 4K HD eyeball camera with POE, WizSense technology, a fixed 2.8mm lens, infrared LED night vision up to 30 meters, SD card slot, built-in microphone, audio and alarm and 120dB WDR for indoor or outdoor use. The camera has the latest Smart H.265+/Smart H.264+ encoding protocol for very efficient use of network bandwidth and image storage space.

Possibilities

The Dahua IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S4 displays images in a 4K UltraHD 3840×2160 resolution. The camera has a built-in IR LED, making it a real day and night camera. In dark conditions, the camera can switch on the built-in IR lighting, which provides a razor-sharp color image even in complete darkness (0 Lux). The IR lighting has a range of no less than 30 meters. The camera has 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which allows the camera to handle complex lighting conditions very well, due to, for example, backlight from the sun or car headlights.

Images can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR), among other things. The camera also has the option to record in the camera on a microSD memory card up to a maximum of 256Gb. The Dahua IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S4 has various smart functionalities including TioC 2.0, Smart Motion Detection Plus, Full-color technology and Siren and Light Active Deterrence.

The camera is equipped with the latest TioC 2.0 technology. TioC stands for Technology, Innovation, and Open Collaboration. The camera has various functions that contribute to the security of an area. This includes continuous full-color monitoring, active deterrence and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. Full-color technology means that the camera continuously generates a color image, even at night.

One of those smart AI solutions is Smart Motion Detection Plus. This is an advanced technique that ensures accurate detection of movements in live video streams. It goes beyond traditional motion detection by using AI algorithms capable of distinguishing human and vehicle movements from other objects or background noise. The IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S4 is also equipped with Siren and Light Active Deterrence. This means that the camera supports a deterrent of potential intruders through the built-in microphone and audio in combination with the built-in LED light. The Dahua IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S4 uses the free Dutch Dahua app for Apple iOS and Android and PC/Mac Video Management Software (VMS). The camera has an internal web server (also in Dutch) that can be viewed and managed with a web browser. Because this camera is equipped with Cyber Security, the camera has a series of important security technologies. This includes, for example, security authentication and authorization, access control, trusted protection, encrypted transmission and encrypted storage.

The Dahua IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S4 has an IP67 rating, making the camera ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation, the camera can be powered via the network cable with Power over Ethernet (standard 802.3af POE). PoE can be obtained through a PoE NVR, a PoE switch or with a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter. Suitable Dahua mounting brackets are listed under the 'Related' tab. The camera is manually adjustable over 3 axes and therefore very suitable for placing vertically against a wall.
