The Dahua IPC-HDW2249TM-S-IL is a 2 megapixel Full HD WizSense series eyeball camera with a fixed 2.8mm lens, Smart Dual Light, SD card slot and 120dB WDR for indoors or outdoors. The camera is very suitable for use in homes, offices, restaurants, hotels and business premises.

Possibilities

The Dahua IPC-HDW2249TM-S-IL displays images in a Full HD 1920×1080 resolution. The camera has a Smart Dual Light function, Dahua Full-color function and a built-in automatic IR-cut filter, making it a real day/night camera. In dark conditions, the camera can switch on the built-in IR lighting, which provides a razor-sharp image even in complete darkness (0 Lux).

The IR lighting has a range of 30 meters for both infrared and LED lighting. The camera has 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which allows the camera to cope very well with complex lighting conditions due to, for example, backlight from the sun or car headlights. The camera has a fixed 2.8mm lens with a viewing angle of 107 degrees horizontally.

The Dahua has IPC-HDW2249TM-S-IL Smart Motion Detection Plus (SMD). This is an improved version of the Smart Motion Detection technology used for motion detection in security cameras. With SMD Plus, Dahua cameras can more accurately detect movements and distinguish between people and vehicles. It is designed to function better in different environments and to improve the overall reliability of motion detection. By combining Smart Motion Detection Plus with Dahua Perimeter Protection technology, which allows the camera to accurately recognize people and vehicles, false alarms are reduced to a minimum.

Images can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR), among other things. The camera also has the option to record in the camera on a microSD memory card up to a maximum of 256Gb.

Dahua has a free Dutch app available for Apple iOS and Android. The camera has an internal web server that can be viewed and managed using a web browser. Video Management Software (VMS) for a computer can be downloaded free of charge from the Dahua website. The “Documentation” tab includes a link to the manufacturer's product page.

The Dahua IPC-HDW2249TM-S-IL has an IP67 rating, making the camera ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation, the camera can be powered via the network cable with Power over Ethernet (standard 802.3af POE). PoE can be obtained through a PoE NVR, a PoE switch or with a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter. Under the options tab you can indicate whether a PoE injector should be included. The camera is adjustable over 3 axes and therefore very suitable for placing vertically against a wall.
