The Dahua IPC-HDBW5842R-ASE-S2 is a 4K Ultra HD 8 megapixel mini dome camera with ePOE, IR night vision, built-in microphone, SD card slot and 120dB WDR for indoors or outdoors. The camera has ePoE, which allows for a much longer network cable length. Furthermore, the camera has the latest H.265 encoding protocol for very efficient use of network bandwidth and storage space for images.

Possibilities

The IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE displays images in a 4K Ultra HD 3840×2160 resolution. In very dark conditions, the camera can also switch on the built-in IR lighting, allowing images to be viewed even in complete darkness (0 Lux). The IR lighting has a range of no less than 50 meters. The camera has a built-in automatic IR-cut filter, making it a real day/night camera. The camera has 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which allows the camera to cope very well with complex lighting conditions due to, for example, backlight from the sun or car headlights. The camera has a fixed 2.8mm lens with a horizontal viewing angle of 112 degrees.

The IPC-HDBW5842R-ASE-S3 has Intelligent Video System (IVS) that enables smart detection such as Tripwire, Intrusion, Missing/Abandoned objects. In addition, Face detection is also possible. Partly due to the new technology of Artificial intelligence (AI) Powered Image, the camera has the ability to automatically respond to changing environments, lighting conditions and different types of scenes. This allows the cameras to adjust and optimize for brightness, contrast, color and other aspects of the image, resulting in images with a high quality and level of detail.

Images can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR), among other things. The camera also has the option to record in the camera on a microSD memory card up to a maximum of 512 GB. The camera has an audio and alarm input and output. Dahua has a free Dutch app available for Apple iOS and Android. The camera has an internal web server that can be viewed and managed using a web browser. Video Management Software (VMS) for a computer can be downloaded for free from the Dahua website. The IPC-HDBW4831E-ASE has an IP67 rating, making the camera ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation, the camera can be powered via the network cable with Power over Ethernet (standard 802.3af POE). PoE can be obtained through a PoE NVR, a PoE switch or with a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter. Under the “Options” tab you can indicate whether an adapter should be included. Suitable Dahua mounting brackets are available under the “Options” tab. The camera is adjustable over 3 axes and therefore very suitable for placing vertically against a wall. The camera has an IK10 vandal resistance classification.

ePOE technology

The camera has ePOE, which allows a much longer network cable length than the standard 100 meters for IP networks. The maximum distance from an ePOE camera to an ePOE switch or ePOE NVR for data and power is 800 meters (800m @ 10Mbps, 13W or 300m @ 100Mbps, 25.4W). The ePOE system is also perfect for migration from analog to IP: IP video, audio, control and power (4 in 1) over coaxial cable with the LR1002 ePoE to BNC adapter. The ePOE technology enables more flexible monitoring system design, improves reliability and saves construction and wiring costs.
