The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White is a wireless motion detector for use in the outdoor environment. This advanced Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White has two optical systems with four PIR sensors.

Because the Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White can be used outdoors, where there is constant movement and all kinds of animals, it is important that the Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White can make a difference between people, weather conditions and animals. This is prevented by using four IR sensors with temperature compensation in combination with the ELSA software algorithm. The temperature compensation is an advanced part of the PIR sensors that measures the temperature, allowing you to quickly measure whether it is a human temperature. Using the ELSA software algorithm, the Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White analyzes the shape of the object, compares these signals with the pattern database and performs a time check. The ELSA algorithm determines within less than a second whether it is a false alarm or whether there is a threat and communicates directly to the central Hub if there is a threat. The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White must be mounted within a distance of 1700 meters (open space) from the central Hub.

The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White makes a difference compared to regular curtain motion detectors because it is possible to expand the protected area. When 'Nearby Detection' is enabled in the application, the upper sensor of the detector will see an extra narrow area, oriented at a 40 degree angle downwards from the main body. A regular curtain motion detector often has a blind spot here. With 'Detection in nearby area' it is therefore possible to manage windows and access.

The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White has an adjustable motion detection that makes it possible to detect distances of up to fifteen meters. This happens at a horizontal detection angle of ninety degrees and a viewing sector that moves 3 degrees horizontally. The sensors can be used to the left and to the right. Because the Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White is equipped with a smart anti-masking system and tamper button, the device immediately sees when it is blocked or, for example, painted and gives a notification within a minute.

The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White has two pre-installed batteries with a maximum lifespan of four years. In addition, the Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White has protection against fraud, manipulation and jamming. Jamming means disrupting radio signals. The radio signals are sent according to the Jeweler radio signal.
