Description

The Dahua VTH5422HW is a 7-inch indoor monitor with a glass touchscreen color screen with a two-wire connection or a network cable connection for use with the Dahua IP video intercom system. The 2-wire connection makes the monitor very suitable for replacing an old bell or intercom system. The existing 2 wires/cores can be reused for both the audio/video signal and the monitor's power supply. This makes an upgrade from an old apartment doorbell intercom system to a fully IP video intercom system simple, cheap and quick.

Possibilities

With the VTH5422HW indoor monitor it is possible to have an audio and video conversation with a person standing outside the apartment station or between monitors. The monitor has an SD card slot to record images and video messages on a microSD card. It is possible to unlock a door from the monitor. Images from Dahua or ONVIF suitable IP cameras can also be viewed on the monitor.

The touch screen of the monitor is a capacitive (hard glass) screen like on modern smartphones. The monitor has alarm inputs and an output for connecting alarm detectors and systems. The system can be connected to the free Dahua SmartPSS PC and Mac management software. With the free Dahua smartphone app, images from the outdoor station can be viewed, an audio/video conversation can be made and a door can be opened.

Installation

The Dahua VTH5422HW is connected to the Dahua VTH5422HW with two wires for both the data signal and the power supply. If you already have the correct wires from, for example, an old intercom system, they can be reused. This makes installation simple, cheap and fast. The Dahua VTNS2003B-2 is then connected to the existing building network (access point, router or switch) with a network cable. The Dahua VTH5422HW can also be connected with a network cable and powered with standard 802.3af PoE.

The Dahua VTH5422HW indoor monitor is a surface-mounted model. A mounting bracket for the indoor monitor is included.
